Launched in 2021, the Merida Scultura Endurance 5000 has quickly become a staple of the Scultura family. The Scultura Endurance 5000 combines the raw speed of the Scultura with amazing comfort even on the worst-kept country back roads. Unsurprisingly, the Scultura range has was an instant hit with the international cycling press with the Scultura Endurance being awarded the ‘Comfort Award’ by German cycling magazine RennRad. The Merida Scultura Endurance 5000 boasts the award-winning CF3 carbon frame providing lightweight handling to navigate the roads with ease. The comfort-oriented geometry and longer head tube offer a more upright position, and excellent vibration dampening qualities of the CF3 frame maximise comfort and control.
The Scultura Endurance 5000 runs the 2×11 speed Shimano Ultegra groupset with a 50-34T crankset and 11-34 cassette. The Ultegra groupset is widely regarded as the sweet spot in the Shimano range, the perfect intersection of weight, cost and quality. The Ultegra groupset provides precise, reliable shifting on every ride giving you the confidence to put down the power. Shimano Ultegra Hydraulic Disc Brakes give you control in all conditions, with responsive braking for enhanced control and confidence even on descents and in the wet. Rolling on the lightweight Merida Expert SL DB Rims, and with the improved tyre clearance, the Scultura Endurance 5000 comes standard with the wide 700x32c Maxxis Detonator tyres for the perfect combo of speed and traction. The increased tyre clearance means that the Endurance 5000 can fit up to 35c tyres for the smoothest ride and maximum comfort. This bike does everything you can ask for at a reasonable price. Finally, the Merida Wire Port routes the shifting and braking cables through the headset for an incredibly clean cockpit.
The Scultura Endurance 5000 offers leading-edge comfort with the vibration dampening carbon frame, and comfort-oriented geometry but doesn’t compromise on the speed the Scultura range is known for. Class-leading integration and improved tyre clearance combine for a brilliantly versatile and capable ride built to go all day.
SEMI-INTEGRATED
Using Merida’s well-proven cable management system, the Wire Port, all control cables are semi-integrated into the frame, making the cables almost invisible while also keeping them out of harm’s way.
CARBON FORK
The lightweight full-carbon tapered fork offered in all models has excellent vibration absorbing properties offering a better ride. The carbon tapered steerer provides great stiffness to the front end of the bike, delivering precise and confidence-inspiring handling.
DISC BRAKES
All models are equipped with disc brakes, providing high-performance braking. Due to their location at the wheel’s centre, they are isolated from the weather and gritty conditions giving you breaking confidence no matter the conditions. They feature a flat-mount brake standard for a neat and flush positioning of the brake calliper.
