The Merida Scultura Endurance 6000 is the midpoint of the Scultura Endurance family, combining the raw speed of the Scultura with amazing comfort even on the worst-kept back roads. Unsurprisingly, the Scultura Endurance range was an instant hit with the international cycling press with it being awarded the ‘Comfort Award’ by German cycling magazine RennRad. The Merida Scultura Endurance 6000 boasts the award-winning CF3 carbon fibre frame providing lightweight handling to navigate the roads with ease. The comfort-oriented geometry and longer head tube offer a more upright position while the excellent vibration dampening qualities of the CF3 frame maximise comfort and control.
The Scultura Endurance 6000 runs the excellent 2 x 11-speed Shimano Ultegra groupset with a 50-34T crankset and 11-34 cassette. The Ultegra groupset is widely regarded as the sweet spot in the Shimano range, the perfect intersection of weight, cost and quality. It provides precise, reliable shifting on every ride giving you the confidence to put down the power. The inclusion of Shimano Ultegra Hydraulic Disc Brakes with 160mm rotors give you control in all conditions, with responsive braking for enhanced control and confidence even on descents and in the wet. The Scultura Endurance 6000 features lightweight Fulcrum Racing 700 DB Rims with a wider internal rim width suited to the wider tyres you’d expect to run on this model. Indeed, the Scultura Endurance 6000 comes standard with wide 700 x 32c Maxxis Detonator tyres for the perfect combination of speed, traction and low rolling efficiency. While the increased tyre clearance afforded by the Endurance’s redesigned fork means you can fit up to 35c tyres for a smooth and supple ride. The Scultura Endurance 6000 is a bit of a jack of all trades really – it offers you the speed of the Scultura with the comfort of the Silex all in a reasonably priced, sleek package.
The Scultura Endurance 5000 offers leading-edge comfort with the vibration dampening carbon frame, and comfort-oriented geometry but doesn’t compromise on the speed the Scultura range is known for. Class-leading integration and improved tyre clearance combine for a brilliantly versatile and capable ride built to go all day.
The Scultura Endurance 6000 is a dynamic, all-road bike featuring a vibration dampening carbon frame and fork combined with a modern, comfort-oriented geometry. It doesn’t compromise on speed so you’re offered the best of both worlds, especially when combined with its class-leading integration and improved tyre clearance. The Merida Scultura Endurance 6000 is a classy endurance road bike designed for every ride or road surface – climbing, descending or just spinning along, it does it all comfortably and in style.
Using Merida’s well-proven cable management system, the Wire Port, all control cables are semi-integrated into the frame, making the cables almost invisible while also keeping them out of harm’s way.
The lightweight full-carbon tapered fork offered in all models has excellent vibration absorbing properties offering a better ride. The carbon tapered steerer provides great stiffness to the front end of the bike, delivering precise and confidence-inspiring handling.
All models are equipped with disc brakes, providing high-performance braking. Due to their location at the wheel’s centre, they are isolated from the weather and gritty conditions giving you breaking confidence no matter the conditions. They feature a flat-mount brake standard for a neat and flush positioning of the brake calliper.
What do you recommend using the Scultura Endurance 6000 for?
The Scultura Endurance 6000 is a quality drop bar road bike aimed at providing a comfortable ride. This is all possible thanks to the vibration-absorbing carbon frame, endurance-orientated geometry and high-quality Shimano Ultegra drivetrain. It’s a great option for riders that enjoy riding Gran Fondo distances regularly, or for racers looking for a model suited to their training regime.
What makes the Scultura Endurance 6000 different?
Merida have designed the Scultura Endurance to blend the performance of the Merida Scultura with the comfort of the Merida Silex. As a result, the Scultura Endurance offers nimble climbing and all-day comfort regardless of terrain, surface or weather conditions.
Who is the Scultura 6000 designed for?
The Merida Scultura Endurance 6000 is the perfect bike for long-distance riders (think Gran Fondos and endurance events), or for those who prefer a more comfort-orientated ride alongside their daily commutes. We recommend the Scultura Endurance range for keen riders that suffer from tight hamstrings and stiff lower backs – the slacker, more upright geometry reduces stress and strain.
