Product Description
If you are looking for top descending performance that doesn’t sacrifice the ‘all day’ riding abilities, then the Shimano STEPS EP8 powered Merida eOne-Forty with integrated battery technology is the perfect full suspension e-bike for you. A modern mountain bike geometry, inspired by its bigger brother, the eOne-Sixty, but with an even lower stand over height, steeper seat angle and slightly steeper head angle, combined with a balanced reach and a low bottom bracket, gives the bike maximum agility and fantastic climbing characteristics. Exactly what you are looking for in an all-day full suspension e-MTB.

- Suntour XCR34 LOR DS forks with 140mm of bump soaking travel
- Suntour RS-Edge shock takes care of the 140mm of rear travel
- Shimano 1×10 gears give enough range to climb anything
- Shimano brakes offer all weather stopping power

The eOne-Forty shares exactly the same frame and design features but has different ride characteristics.
The shock stroke on the eOne-Forty is shorter, reducing rear travel to 133mm and creating a steeper seat angle. The shorter 140mm fork extends the reach, delivering a slightly steeper head angle. In combination these small changes make the eOne-Forty more agile and playful; a highly competent climber that’s perfect for all day riding.
The mixed wheel size set up is carried over, to give the e-full suspension bikes precise steering, fantastic ‘rolling over obstacles’ behaviour yet maximum traction, a 29er front wheel with a 2.5″ tyre is combined with a 650B rear wheel, equipped with a slightly wider 2.6″ tyre. The perfect combination of precision, playfulness and traction.
All eOne-Forty models use the powerful Shimano EP8 85NM motor and bigger 630Wh battery (with the exception of frame size – S which uses 504Wh).
Shimano’s e-Tube app allows you to tailor power delivery to suit your riding style; you can set two profiles; one for shredding and one for cruising.

* Mountain bikes are sized differently to road bikes. Typically, they are sized in inches as the first MTBs were produced in the USA. European brands like Lapierre and Haibike like to use centimeters for all their bikes. The measurements of their mountain bikes doesn’t match their road bikes but is like a simple conversion from the inches measurement. This is why we have included cm measurements in brackets for the e mountain bike column.
