Product Description
The geometry of the Merida eBig Nine 400 follows a simple principle; as sporty as possible, as comfortable as necessary. You ride to work in the morning but fancy a little off road detour on the way home? No problem – that’s what these bikes are made for! Combining the best elements of mountain and trekking bikes, this rugged machine can be fitted with mudguards and racks making it ideal for both commuting and year round leisure riding. The eBig Nine 400 is the cheapest Merida eBike to use Shimano’s EP8 85Nm motor and 630w battery. Many technical features and much of the thinking that went into the award winning eOne-Sixty have been incorporated to deliver a stylish and well thought through hardtail. The strong, stiff aluminium frame is the result of extensive hydroforming, precision laser cutting and CNC machining. The battery is housed low down in the downtube to keep the centre of gravity low. The battery can be charged in the bike via a satellite charging port.

* Mountain bikes are sized differently to road bikes. Typically, they are sized in inches as the first MTBs were produced in the USA. European brands like Lapierre and Haibike like to use centimeters for all their bikes. The measurements of their mountain bikes doesn’t match their road bikes but is like a simple conversion from the inches measurement. This is why we have included cm measurements in brackets for the e mountain bike column.
