The Merida One Sixty 700 tackles technical trails and downhills with aggression for a ride that is full on fast. An aggressive ride comes from aggressive race-proven geometry with super short chainstays, longer reach and slacker head angles that add playfulness and agility to the lightweight alloy frame. The Marzocchi Z1 Fork with 170mm travel and trunnion mounted Fox Performance Float DPX2 Rear Shock form a winning combination. The Float Link Suspension ensures that that shock mount moves with the system for improved pedalling efficiency and plushness.
The 12 speed Shimano XT Drivetrain offers simple and efficient brilliance, perfect for tackling tough trails. While Shimano the SLX 4 Piston Hydraulic Disc Brakes give you braking control in any weather for improved confidence while you’re rolling on 27.5″ Maxxis Assegai Front Tyre and 27.5″ Maxxis Dissector Rear Tyre for the optimal blend of speed and control. The 700 is a decent step up from the One Sixty 400, with the 12 speed XT instead of 11 speed Deore, as well as upgraded forks, rear shock and brakes for a ride this somewhat similar, yet crisper and more responsive on the 700. The Merida One Sixty 700 is a modern 12 speed MTB that is nimble and fun on the trails with spec that is capable of tearing up your local trails.
Features
Float Link Suspension: The lower shock mount moves with the system to deliver plushness and pedalling efficiency. Our engineers can precisely influence the transmission ratio and progression, which means a ‘Float Link’ system appears to offer more travel than the ONE-SIXTY name suggests. The rear end of the ONE-SIXTY creates the feeling of almost bottomless travel whilst remaining perfectly controlled when climbing.
Trunnion Mount: A trunnion mount shock gives our frame designers more flexibility by using a shorter shock with increased stroke. Combined with the ball bearing bushing of the upper mount, shock sensitivity is increased, and the suspension performance can be perfectly tuned.
Boost Technology: The entire ONE-SIXTY range offers Boost technology at the front and rear. The shallower axle standard of 110 mm (front) and 148 mm (rear) allows for a wider spoke angle, resulting in a stiffer and stronger wheel, hugely beneficial on trail and enduro bikes given the impacts they endure.
Aggressive Geometry: Race-proven and loved by the international cycling press, our ONE-SIXTY combines super short 430 mm chainstays for increased agility and playfulness, with a long reach, slack head angles and a low centre of gravity, delivering an aggressive enduro geometry.
