Merida have chosen to kit this bike out with Shimano Hydraulic disc brakes meaning you can have confidence in all conditions knowing you’ve got a reliable and long term brake system. The Merida Big Nine 15 Mountain bike features a lightweight aluminium frame with a maximum wheel and tyre clearance for 29 x 2.25” and a 135 x 9mm axle standard. You’ll find more natural trails with tree roots and loose rocks quite comfortable with the Suntour XCT30 fork which has 100mm of travel helping you maintain grip in the corners and power through climbs – its really agile while still able to handle the rough stuff.
